It seems to be from the middle of the engine (maybe slightly to the left of centre) I have a Fiesta 1.6 tdci 2006 which has come up with an Engine System Fault and gone into limp mode but not reading any fault codes. Fiesta 1.6S tdci Ford Year The 1.4 TDCi engine also known as 1.4 HDi. Update The engine turns fine with no weird noises when cranking and no smoke is coming out. and after someone suggested that the fault could be the lack of fuel pressure in the rail so the ECU won't fire the injectors (which turned out to be right). I have just had an engine system fault message come up on my screen which can be reset to show the normal information and a permanent red light. Focus 1.6 TDCi
