Onecm can make a huge difference when one's wrist size falls just in the end of one size and the beginning of the other. Mine is 16.5cm and the 44mm already looks too big. I can actually wear both but wearing the smaller size defined the watch as a watch and wearing the bigger one clearly defined it as a wrist computer.

Ican't give exact measurements but the 46mm has a gorgeous display. You couldn't go wrong with either variant but I think the difference here is that the 44mm is the regular GW4 with aluminum frame and the 46mm is the GW4 Classic with stainless steel frame. The classic has the bezel which I have preferred over the past few years.

However if you ever want to get a sport loop band (i.e., the velcro closure band), I'd say get the 44mm. For me I can barely get a sport loop 40mm band over my hand. Apple says it fits up to 200mm wrists, but I don't know how somebody with that large of a wrist fits the band over their hand. As for band size, 165mm is size 7 for the solo loop
