The Hoka Anacapa features a compression moulded EVA that offers the cushion and support that Hoka has become known for. This EVA foam provides maximum cushioning with little weight; the durable EVA surrounds the foot in complete comfort without adding bulk or weight to the shoe.
I just got the Anacapa Mid. VERY comfortable! Little more responsive (slightly less cushion) than some other Hokas, which makes them better suited to daily use, IMO. Rockered heel is super dope. Quality seems good though perhaps a bit thinner than the Kaha (only other one I can compare to). Can't speak to durability as they are literally brand new.
HOKA ONE ONE Anacapa Review Fit and Feel. Pulling on the Anacapas, I have to say these fit like a glove — or a sock, to be more precise. I have to give a huge nod to the Achilles-cradling pull-tab integrated into the sock liner — it really works! Having this one feature gives you an almost custom fit and allows the boot to move with you.
Now that I have worn this shoe for about 6 months and put in about 4 miles daily, I feel that I can write a fair review. I hike with my dogs in hilly country with wet grass, mud, and areas that are rocky. The shoe has great traction, but unfortunately after 4 months or so, the shoe is no longer waterproof.
